Long-term relationships.

A roof is replaced once a decade. The relationship between a homeowner and a roofer ought to outlast the roof.

Most roofing companies treat the job as a transaction. We treat it as the beginning of a relationship that will, ideally, span the life of the roof and possibly the life of the homeowner's tenure in the home. The choice changes nearly every operating decision the company makes.

01 · Follow up

Year one, year five, year ten.

We reach out to every customer at the one-year mark to inspect the roof and confirm nothing has shifted. We do it again at year five. We do it again at year ten. The inspections are free. They take an hour. They sometimes catch small problems before they become large ones.

Most companies do not do this because it does not generate immediate revenue. We do it because it builds the only thing in this business that compounds: trust.

We do the unpaid follow-up inspections because trust is the only thing in this business that compounds.
02 · Honoring

What the warranty actually means.

Our warranty is written in plain language and honored without dispute. If something we installed fails within the warranty period for reasons within the warranty, we fix it. We do not look for ways out of the obligation. The point of the warranty is the certainty, not the document.

Honoring warranties is more expensive than ignoring them in the short term. It is meaningfully cheaper in the long term, because it produces customers who refer customers for the rest of their lives.

03 · Next roof

When the next roof is due.

Twenty years from today, the homeowner will need a new roof. We intend to still be the company they call. That intention shapes everything from how we install the current roof, to how we maintain the relationship in the meantime, to how we hire and train the people who will be doing the work two decades from now.

Most companies are not planning for that conversation. We are.
